Interdisciplinary Collaboration
The contributions of many individuals and organizations whose partnership and support have helped VIGH become established in strong academic research and training programs, and pragmatic community partnerships are recognized through several long-standing, grant-supported collaborations with international institutions and U.S. academic research universities.
These relationships foster collaborations that allow research to become a reality through multidisciplinary approaches to the establishment of sustainable, scalable health and development programs in resource-limited settings.
“Global health is inherently interdisciplinary, with elements of education, community mobilization, management and logistics, ethics and human rights, and every manner of methodological application to health.”-VIGH Director, Sten Vermund, M.D., Ph.D.
