Vermund attends White House reception during AIDS 2012

Dr. Vermund was honored to be invited to the White House Reception: “Courage on the Frontlines” during the 19th International AIDS Conference. The reception celebrated people living with HIV/AIDS, the International AIDS Conference, and leadership against the disease.

President Barack Obama addressed his guests with the importance of continuing government support of people living with HIV/AIDS across the globe. Stressing the collaborative efforts of response, Obama said that he hoped hosting the reception would bring together partners in a dialogue.
